Reports summarize check outcomes for sharing and review. Reporting availability depends on the organization's current plan.
Open Reports in the active project and choose Create. Add a title and description that state the period and purpose.
Include all project checks, checks from one schedule, or a selected set of checks.
Choose the beginning and end in the time zone selected under App settings → Time zone. The default is your browser's local time; you can switch to UTC. The console converts the entered times to UTC for the API, and the generated report displays timestamps in UTC.
A report can contain at most 500 checks. Narrow the period or schedule when the selection is larger.
Save the report. It starts as Pending while RestoreTrust creates its PDF in the background. Reopen or refresh the report to check its status. Once Ready, you can preview the English-language report in the console and download PDF or HTML.
| Status | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | The report snapshot and HTML are stored; PDF generation is queued or in progress | Wait and check the same report again |
| Ready | The PDF has been generated and stored | Preview or download the report |
| Failed | PDF generation did not succeed after the service's retries | Use the stored HTML through the API and investigate the PDF error before creating a replacement |
The console enables preview and download actions only for Ready reports. The Reports API can download the stored HTML even while a PDF is pending or has failed. A PDF download does not start another render.
Reports created before background PDF generation was introduced may have no stored PDF even when their status is Ready. Their HTML remains available; create a new report if you need a PDF. The new report captures the checks as they are when you create it.
A report is a creation-time snapshot of the selected checks, including status distribution and check details available to the report. Later schedule changes or newly completed checks do not update that report. Create a new report for a later period or corrected scope.
The time range includes its start and excludes its end. A check is selected by its finish time, falling back to its start time and then its creation time when those values are absent. This also applies when selecting individual check IDs. Checks still in progress can appear with their current status; wait for completion before creating a report intended to show final outcomes.
Reports are convenient summaries, not a substitute for a check's canonical JSON proof and .ots file. When a reviewer needs to verify that exact check data has not changed since Bitcoin anchoring, export the evidence from the check itself.
Keep the report together with the scope and timezone expectations used to create it. Apply your organization's retention and access policy because reports can contain source names, check details, probe results, and operational timing.
See Time zones and dates when comparing a report range with check-list filters or a UTC schedule.
